Interview with Philipp Kohlschreiber
after his loss against Roger Federer
- You obviously had chances in the third set tiebreak. What do you think made the difference and how tough is it starting against Roger?
- Philipp Kohlschreiber: Of course, it’s not a nice draw but you have to take it as it comes. I had a plan how to play Roger. I mentioned before that his first grass court match could be a little bit tricky. I had my chances but I think in the end we both played at a very good level, in the crucial moments, he made the better decisions this time. Of course, it’s sad or tough to lose a match like this.
- How was the grass out there? He fell three times at least, you fell later in the tiebreak, too?
- Philipp Kohlschreiber: Overall, I have to say I was very pleased with the court. It’s like kind of indoor facility where the grass is a little bit more slippery. But I also see many people sliding at Wimbledon . So, I think I moved well on the court. Obviously, it’s always tough if you’re on the wrong side of your movement and it’s tough to adjust.
